INDIVIDUAL MUSIC THERAPY
Individual music therapy sessions are geared towards individual client's needs, abilities, and musical preferences. A formal treatment plan is adopted based on an assessment, and progress on specified goals and objectives is tracked and recorded after each one-on-one session. We use music and music-centered interventions to work on goal areas such as social, emotional, cognitive, speech, spiritual, and overall wellness. Individual music therapy sessions are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure consistency and progress.
MUSIC ACTIVITY GROUPS
Participants work on a wide range of skills while enjoying a variety of fun, musical activities to encourage active engagement, and social interaction. Though grounded in music therapy principles and techniques, music activity groups are designed to be more flexible and open to a much larger number of participants (maximum of 20). Detailed documentation is not collected for individual participants in these groups (but is for music therapy).
